International travelers who require medical attention in foreign countries may have trouble communicating their past medical history, understanding proposed diagnostic tests or treatments, and even requesting basic care such as a bath or a medication for pain. The Medical Phrases and Terms Translation databases offer a solution.
Translations can be performed in a multi-directional fashion (for languages that use the standard alphabet). For example, translations can be performed from English to French, Portuguese to English, French to Portuguese, etc. Anyone who speaks one of the covered languages can use the Translation Guides.
